What happens in Vegas.....well, let me tell ya ALL about it!

Mom, Lynn and I traveled up to VEGAS this weekend to CELEBRATE the upcoming wedding of Matt (my cousin) and Jill! It was Jill's "Bachelorette Party Weekend"! We were obviously not part of the "young girls" group....BUT us COUGARS did just fine whoopin' it up in VEGAS!

Here is Lynn and cousin, Megan (Matt's sister) after we arrived!
We never really knew what time it was...

Jill's (Matt's fiance) aunts and cousins traveled from all over to join in the celebration as well! Here is the "cougar group" on the first night!

Matt's grandma made these shirts for everyone!

And there is the bride to be dancing the night away!

Future sister in laws!

Lynn and Megan....cuddly cousins!

OK...so the next day, one of the bridesmaids had the CUTEST idea...we did a SCAVENGER HUNT through Vegas! We were separated into teams and sent off with a list and our cameras. We had 6 hours to accomplish as much as we could and then got together as a group with pictures in hand and LAUGHED LAUGHED LAUGHED...what a riot! We did not accomplish everything on the list...but, here are some highlights!

1. Find a "menu" without alcohol on the menu

2. Find someone wearing anything "Disney"...here's our little "Tinkerbell"

3. Get a group picture with some Chip and Dale Dancers (we got creative on this one and found "Chip" and "Dale"...HA!)

4. Find a guy that will buy you a round of drinks (also a creative one on our part...this is Clive, our new best friend in Vegas....he is a promoter for "Blush" (one of the clubs), and he stopped us to give us free passes for the evening and free champagne from 11-12). We were just giddy about our new friend, and then realized (and were promptly told by the"young girls") that EVERY promoter gives away free passes and drinks to a group of ladies.

5. Best cocktail waitress outfit

6. Group picture in a wedding chapel

7. Person wearing a fanny pack

8. Someone that looks like Matt (my cousin getting married)...we had some fun with this one, too.

9. Someone wearing anything Colorado (where Matt and Jill went to school)

10. Purchase one of those obnoxious drinks on the street
(shhh...we found this one!)

11. A picture with a coyote

12. Take a picture doing a round of shots

13. Picture with a tiger (we tried...)

14. Picture of someone drinking out of the Ceasar's Palace fountain

15. Picture of chandeliers in one of the hotels

16. Picture of a showgirl (we didn't get points for this one...she wasn't your "typical" showgirl)...we thought the little person would give us extra points, but it didn't.

17. Picture with the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign
Well....the YOUNG GIRLS won the scavenger hunt! We DID get "most creative" (and I think we had the most fun!)

That evening we went and ate the yummy restaurant inside Treasure Island (where we stayed)
Here is a picture of Jill and her mom, Ruth.

Us "cougars" were BEAT that night...so we (and Megan decided to hang with us, poor thing wasn't feeling well and couldn't go out with the "young girls") got our favorite BEN and JERRY'S ice cream, and watched opening ceremonies of the Olympics in our p.j.s!!!

sexy sister...

Aunt Louise enjoys chocolate chip cookie dough...

Day 3 in Vegas...
Before we started each day, we worked out at the gym. On this particular day, we decided to use the "SPA" and got our big fluffy robe, use the steam room, sauna and whirlpool....Ahhhhh! (didn't get any "spa" pictures...sorry!)

The Rockhouse was a cool bar that sold cool GUITAR stuff and in honor of MAX (who turned 10 on this day!) we visited the bar and took a picture!

mom and sis having fun...

Last night in Vegas...we got all dressed up and started our night at dinner all together.
Here's a picture of gorgeous Aunt Louise and Megan!

One HOT Mama!
We then headed to see the Cirque de Soleil Show...Mysterie...it was fantastic! My body was sore from just watching them do what they did with their bodies (or maybe it was from all the walking we did the past 2 days?)

Well, we made it to BLUSH after the show, to see our new best friend, Clive (who gave us the VIP passes). It was seriously like a Saturday Night Live Skit at the door with the door men, their headsets, clip boards, and ropes holding back the 10 people waiting to come in. Hilarious.
But! We got in and got our FREE champagne!

Mission accomplished....we did Vegas!
