Take me out to the BALLGAME!

Well, our "empty" weekend ended up being a pretty "full" and eventful one! Uncle Adam scored some AWESOME seats to the Diamondback's game and gave them to Rich! Rich, Richard (Papa), Max, and Luke had a GREAT time sitting 7 rows from the D'back's dugout! They had such a great time...

How cool is it that it was Brandon WEBB day and they gave away hats!

Super Saturday!

Rich and I try to look at the family calendar together at least a couple times a week...We had to take a double take when we looked at this weekend, and saw nothing written down! YIPEE! No plans for Saturday or Sunday!
So, mommy came up with a master plan...
Let's go on the light rail and have an adventure! We called up the Verdugo's (Rick was working) and away we went! We took the light rail down to Mill Ave, grabbed some lunch at Fat Burger (YUM), splashed around at the splash pad (Tempe Town Lake), and ended up at the Verdugo's house! Laurie cooked us a fabulous Italian meal and we called it a day. A SUPER SATURDAY! Thank you, Laurie, Josh, Sarah and Tess for joining in the fun and for making us such a yummy dinner!!!

Mr. President's first duty...

My nephew Daniel is the newly elected president of Gilbert Elementary School! Today was his first FLAG CEREMONY. This is one duty he has REALLY been looking forward to! Once a month he gets to lead the school in the ceremony. I am so glad Sam and I could go and see him shine. So proud of you, Daniel!

Happy Birthday, MA!

My precious Grandma, "Ma" is 91 years young today! She is my silly, sweet, kind, FUN, loyal, friendly, and all around BEST Grandma ever. Love you, Ma and wish I was there to give you a big birthday hug and kiss.

The tight rope is loose now!

Luke and I had an eventful evening...

Precious boy has been coughing and raspy voice for the past 2 days, and today he was just not himself...poor thing could not breathe! He was really struggling....so we were doing all the home remedies (steam filled bathroom, hot liquids, Motrin), but he just was getting worse. When I asked Luke how it felt, he said, "It fells like there is a rope around my neck, and it's getting tighter and making it hard to breathe." So I called his doctor (whom I absolutely think is the best pediatrician in the world), and he told me to put him on the phone so he could listen to him breathe. He directed me to bring him straight to Phoenix Children's Urgent Care. Rich was arriving home from a business trip at 11:00, so I called Dani (the boys' sitter) and she was here in 2 minutes and took Max and Sam and we were off!

Here's my little patient when we arrived....pitiful...he did such a good job explaining to the doctor about the "tight rope" around this neck.

They gave him a breathing treatment, and he was able to breathe easier within 5 minutes! They also gave him an oral steriod that will last for the next 4 days.

They monitored him for 2 hours.....we played hangman, colored, snuggled, read, and played some more hangman!


All better! They gave him a huge Powerade to drink, a lollipop and a sticker. He said, "This is the best place ever! Let's always come here when I have to go to the doctor."

The doctor says it is croup, and we should be back in the game by Wednesday! He is now home from school for the day, and is relaxing on the couch.

Lynn's Birthday Celebration!

She's 39 and holding on TIGHT!

We had fun celebrating my sister, Lynn's birthday tonight at Mom and Dad's! We decorated the place with special signs and streamers....when I hung up the first banner, Sam said, "It's a party now!" We then had yummy pizza and swam! We surprised Lynn with her FAVORITE strawberry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

It was a fun night celebrating my sweet sis!

We had such a great time today celebrating my precious neices, Lesia and Calissa's birthdays! Their birthdays are July 27 and July 28. Lesia turned 5 and Calissa turned 1!
