BOOMTEXT Baby!

We had a fun office party this afternoon at Bill and Liz's home! We had a great time hanging out (kids included!), EATING yummy food, and just enjoying each others company! It was so nice of them to have us all over for a fun filled afternoon!

Sam was so excited there was someone younger than him! He guided him around by the hand the whole afternoon...

Our HIKE was a HIT!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Sam is now old enough to "do" everything with us and keep up! Rich was in a golf tournament this morning, so I got an adventurous bug, and took the boys to South Mountain for some HIKING! I made it pretty "short and sweet", so it would be fully enjoyable for EVERYONE! All 3 "kept up", and had a blast doing it! We stopped at every BIG rock and marveled at it, sat at a campfire we found, stopped for many water breaks, enjoyed a yummy lunch under the pavilions, and enjoyed eachother's company the whole way...

Ready and Excited!
And we're off!
First BIG rock we found!
Second BIG rock!
Sweet brothers...
Yum! Lunch time...
The many silly faces of Max...
Mini-Max...
To end our perfect outing, there was a SONIC right at the bottom of the hill before we got on the highway...YEAH!
We found a campfire, so we took a water break and the boys entertained me with "The Campfire Song" from their favorite composer, Sponge Bob Square Pants...

BBS OLYMPICS!

The boys (and mommy and daddy!)had SO MUCH FUN at their school's WILD AND WACKY OLYMPICS! The school tried something new this year in lieu of our Carnival, and it was a HUGE success! Each grade participated (even Sam got to be with the Preschoolers!) and competed in silly, WET games. Yours truly was in charge of the SHARK RACES! The week before, there were opportunities for each class to compete by running the most laps, raising the most money, academic challenges, class spirit, etc. and those awards were given at the end of the event.
Luke's class won silver and bronze! Such a fun day!

GO PRESCHOOLERS!
They got to "cool down" throwing snow balls!

this is just the beginning...

Having three boys, I know I am going to have many bumps, bruises and even breaks! SAM has had 2 black eyes in 2 weeks...yes, you heard that correct! Bless his heart, he bonked into a friend 2 weeks ago, and got a pretty nice "shiner" that ran it's course (got puffy, turned a little bluish and then disappeared for a day). Then, wouldn't ya know it, a few days ago he woke up from his nap with a HUGE puffy eye again! We rushed him to the Urgent Care, and sure enough, he had somehow bonked himself in the SAME SPOT, and now has a VERY black and blue eye. We're not sure how this one happened, but he has every story in the book about how it happened. Our favorite is, "I was showing my blanket to my friends at preschool, and when I was done, Aiden (one of Luke's friends) came up to me and punched me in the eye." (this did NOT happen, but he likes the reaction when he tells it!)

Don't mean to toot his horn....

but, what CAN'T this kid do?

My precious nephew and Godson, Daniel is blowing us away this year with all his accomplishments! Student Council President (which has given him so many leadership opportunities this year), "stealing the show" in his role as "Little Jon" in the 6th grade musical, straight A student, he made the select Jazz Band for junior high next year, he was selected as the class speaker for his school's academic night, he hit the grand slam winning home run last night in his baseball game, just to name a few.....
Here he is after the HONOR BAND concert he was chosen for - students from all 27 Gilbert Schools auditioned, and Daniel was 1 of the only 4 chosen from his school.

Here he is with his family...
Granna and Grandpa
All the cousins were there to cheer him on!
So proud of you, buddy!
