The boys LOVE our traditional egg hunt every Easter morning before church. The Easter Bunny always put some eggs in their shoes, hides eggs all over the front room, and the special "bunny" eggs have "coupons" for the boys. These coupons consist of trips to Sonic with mom or dad, any toy they want at the dollar store, a movie date with mom or dad, etc. The boys love getting them, storing them in their wallets, and REDEEMING them throughout the year! The Easter Bunny also left each of them some fun little Easter baskets with lots of goodies!

Like Totally, Dude!
We had a totally RAD, BITCHIN', GAG ME WITH A SPOON time at Sara and Rich's 40th Birthday Celebration! It was an "80's Theme" and we had TOO MUCH fun dressing up for it! THANK YOU to my dear friend, Simone, who is a HUGE "Duran Duran" FAN, and had a CLOSET full of clothes I could "shop" through! It was a RAD night...
TRADITION!
Ever since my nephew, Daniel was a little baby we have been coloring eggs on Good Friday. After the somber, reflective church service; we decided to spice things up with some margaritas, Mexican food and EGG COLORING. We started the tradition 10 years ago, and haven't missed a year since! Julia had an EGG HUNT prepared for the kiddos before our coloring...it was a fun night....OLE!

Pottys and Preschool...
I got the call on March 17th...."Yes, Mrs. Webb...I have GREAT news! Your son is going to be able to attend Apples to Zebras Preschool! He was 9th on the waiting list, and we were able to form another class! School starts March 30th!" YEAH! I was thrilled (I honestly did NOT think he would be going due to him being 9th on the waiting list!). Then I got to thinking....I have 13 DAYS to have him out of diapers and ready to go.....
well, WE DID IT!
Webb Potty Training Boot Camp:
NO DIAPERS
NO PULLS UPS
JUST UNDERWEAR and M&Ms!
3 M&Ms for "trying" and a handful of them for "going"
It worked! And we have been accident free every since!
Day 1 he spent the whole day sitting on a potty...

So....the day finally came! PRESCHOOL DAY!
Sam was up at 6:00 this morning and wanted to be dressed and ready right away!
We got our traditional picture by the front door that we've done with all 3 boys (just like DADDY did when he went to school!)...
He said, "We didn't have goldfish crackers for snack, just regular crackers. We sang "Mr. Golden Sun" just like Barney does. I have 2 teachers, Ms. Maria and I don't know the other ones name. I colored you a picture. I showed my friends my doggy, "Sam Webb" (it was show and tell day). And I went on the potty!"
GREAT first day!

A truly "out of this world" weekend...
What a weekend!
Bob Moody came back in town to conduct SYMPHONIC STAR WARS! Such a fun concert to "Ooo and Ahhh" in (not many "words" to sing in that music)! The chorus didn't add much, but we sure had fun doing it! Powerful music! And SO fun to be back with our good friend, BOB!
I made a new friend...

RECOVERY......ugh.
...but, Sam handled it like a CHAMP!
The above picture is the face (picture running frantically around the house screaming for 30 minutes) I had to deal with every 4 hours that pain medicine had to be given, and every 6 hours that antibiotic had to be given. So hard to have to swallow gross tasting medicine when you don't even want to swallow your own spit....what ever happened to suppositories (my mom just raves about them and how great they were when we were kids!)?
Top 20 things I am very thankful for during this week of recovery....
20. waffles with SYRUP
19. Nutrigrain bars
18. Kraft macaroni and cheese
17. soft cheesy quesadillas
16. GIANT lollipops
15. lots of comfy cotton pajamas with super heroes on them that we could wear a different pair every day (thank you, McClendon family for the hand me downs!)
14. SPRITE
13. Wow Wow Wubsy (his favorite TV show)
12. Diet Coke for me!
11. Sam's blue blanket
10. the Wii
9. PLAYDOUGH
8. BUBBLES
7. TV trays
6. Laurie, for making our family some delicious dinners AND dessert, so we could have a substantial meal each night!
5. The Stephen's for coming over and bringing Sam some goodies!
4. All the get well cards and wishes from everyone
3. Cherie and Jennifer for bringing my boys home from school each day, so I didn't have to load Sam in the car!
2. Max and Luke coming home from school each day...it totally brightened up the rest of the day for him!
and last but not least....this WATER BOTTLE...
Here's a happy time during our week...Great Aunt Gail and Beverly sent stickers and Sam decorated his guitar...

Bye bye, TONSILS!
Well, the day finally arrived. Sam was so excited to go and do all the things we have been talking about for (what seems like) FOREVER! He was SO brave.
and we're off!
Sam got to decorate his mask with stickers and pick what flavor he wanted to inhale when he went to "sleep" - he picked cherry.
This next picture just breaks my heart....Sam experienced "emergence delirium" for an hour and a half "coming out" of surgery in recovery. Thrashing, kicking, screaming, scratching his face and eyes, pulled out his IV 3 times (you get the idea!) - Rich and I, 3 nurses, the surgeon, and anesthesiologist couldn't get him to calm down - he wouldn't open his eyes and was incoherent. Sam is STRONG, and my arms are still sore from trying to restrain him and not get him to hurt himself (or me!). He kept screaming, "Get off of me! Mommy! Daddy! It's hurting me!" We could smell a burnt smell coming out of his mouth (from the surgery) and there was black fluid dripping out of his mouth. They finally had to give him some narcotics to knock him out a couple of times, and after those and time he finally calmed down. He looked up and asked for a lollipop. The nurse ran out of the room down to the gift shop and BOUGHT HIM ONE! He held onto it for the next 7 hours after that. He had scratches all over his face and had a fever of 102 after it all. Worst thing I've ever experienced.
We made it up to our room and he finally could RELAX.
Papa and Grandma came and gave him this GIANT lollipop which I think he will be working on until he graduates from high school! He just like carrying it around and taking occasional licks.
My good friends from chorus (Tia, Jon and Mohammud) came with goodies for Sam and I! Bubbles, balloon, books, DIET COKE...all our favorite things!
So nice of them.
We are now home and recovering! His pain meds make him a little "cooky" (last night he said there were bugs everywhere and in his mouth). He is eating and drinking GREAT and we are getting used to his new voice (the little raspy one is gone, it is now LOUD and froggy sounding!)

NEALS came to visit!
Rich's friend of 27 years, Chris Nealy came to visit from Minnesota! He came to play in Rich's golf tournament.....his parents live in Arizona during the cold Minnesota winter months. The boys LOVE hanging out with him. They talk and play SPORTS. They had a BLAST shooting hoops in the back yard and then I made a Southwestern dinner for all! It's so fun to hear Rich and "Neals" reminisce about childhood.

MUSICFEST 2010
Tia and I were unable to participate in Musicfest this year (WAAA!), but I didn't want to miss Max's Science Fair (which was the same night), and to be honest, it was really nice to be able to sit in the audience (we got to see the GLORIOUS 2nd half!) and CELEBRATE with everyone after. Wonderful concert and even more....wonderful friends.
