Thank you to my precious hubby, Rich!

A huge thank you to my hubby, Richie for being so gracious in letting me go to Boulder for 5 whole days!!! He held down the fort here and played "Mr. Mom" very well. He had a few "fires" to put out including 1 day old new glasses of Max's broken in half by his brother, Luke, and a pretty difficult 4 1/2 year old (not MY Lukie!) that had some issues with listening (hence the broken glasses). They were all happy to have me home, and I'm happy to be home with them :)
He said on the phone, "Daddy's just aren't made to do all this on their own."
I love you, Richie - thank you for supporting me and my passion of singing!

"Summer Splash"

We enjoyed the "Summer Splash" in downtown Chandler today! They had every inflatable wet slide you could think of! The boys had a blast! It was HOT - kinda wish I had worn my swim suit (well, I would have looked a little silly with all the kids) and been able to get WET like them!!!

Max waiting his turn.......
Sam being an excellent stroller rider!
Look at the air Luke got on his way down the BIG slide!

IT IS VERY HOT IN ARIZONA IN THE SUMMER.............

"Dive In" Movie!

We had a great time tonight at the "Dive In" Movie with the Brannans and the McClendons tonight! They invited us to their pool where they show a movie once a month! We watched "Shrek 3" tonight floating around in our inter tubes!
It was so cool!

Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Jill!

Happy Birthday, Jill!
Today is my friend, Jill Dillman's birthday! I have known Jill since my freshman year of college when we pledged the same sorority - Alpha Delta Pi! We became instant friends when we realized we had the same love of the arts - she is an excellent actress, and we have a special memory of being in the musical "Oklahoma!" together in college :)
I can always count on Jill to lend an ear, give biblical sound advice, and always make me LAUGH - we have the best time together. We stood up for each other in our weddings, and I have watched her become a beautiful wife, and a WONDERFUL mommy to 2 amazing little boys (that are only 13 months apart)! Drew and Ben are so blessed to have Jill as their mommy! And Scott, Jill's husband is just precious....we are so thrilled that Jill and Scott are Luke's Godparents!
Jill is my very Southern friend that we love to imitate! Rich's favorite "Jill quote" is,
"Rich (pronounced Riiiiiiich), I'm as full as a blood bloated tick!"

SLUMBER PARTY!

Max and Luke had their good friends, Josh and Sarah spend the night last night! They had a ball playing together, and everyone slept GREAT!
Dinner time! Mommy's nutritious meal of mac 'n cheese and hot dogs :)
This is how we found Sarah and Luke at 11:00 pm.....
Josh and Max peacefully sleeping......

JEEPERS CREEPERS....

Where'd you get those beautiful peepers????

SO............You Think You Can Dance?

We are huge fans of the show "So You Think You Can Dance" here at the Webb house......and we were VERY disappointed with tonight's results!!!! Cute, little Gev and sweet, beautiful Kherrington are gone :( - we were big fans of both of them, and will now be picking up the phone to vote!!!
Check out our moves and see if you think we can dance....

Happy 93rd Birthday, Grandma Hank!!!

Today is my Grandma Lena Hank's 93rd birthday! She is an amazing woman...she still lives on her own in her own house, drives her own car, and serves weekly at church! She is always helping out others from driving them to appointments, to visiting friends in the hospital, to giving her neighbor her daily eye drops! Her secret to longevity is keeping her brain active by reading, going to the symphony, and writing down everything. She still walks everyday in her neighborhood. She still writes letters to all of us on her personalized stationary :) Her favorite thing in the world to do is to have us sitting at her dining room table and serving us food. I think it is so wonderful that Max, Luke and Sam know MY Grandma! Their GREAT Grandma!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!!!

That's Clever!

I heard quite a ruckus (not an abnormal sound in this house) in the kitchen today. I discovered Max and Luke had invaded the Tupperware cupboard to find everything they needed for bowling in the front room!

A day of firsts.....

I took the boys to the Hamilton Pool today......Can I just say that community pools (well, acutally any kind of pool) make me a nervous wreck.
Luke jumped off the diving board for the first time, and Max did a front flip off the diving board for the first time!
Luke is at the wonderful age where he cannot think of anything on his own - anything Max says or does, he just automatically wants to do it, without hesitation, because Max is doing it. It doesn't help that he is the little brother to Max AND big brother to Sam........the dreaded "middle child"!
After swimming around for a while, Max declares "I'm going to the diving boards (which he has done many times), and I'm going to do a front flip off of it (which he has NEVER done)."
I say, "OK"
Luke immediately jumped out of the water too, and says, "I'm going to jump off the diving boards with Max (which he has NEVER done)."
I say, "OK"
And off they went!
Then I started realizing what I just allowed. I am all the way on the other side of the pool with Sam thinking "Am I really allowing this? Luke just started swimming on his own a month ago....could he drown? How qualified are these child looking lifeguards? Will Luke really jump off the diving board into the incredibly deep water? Will Max crack his head open when he tries to do his front flip?"
So I panic, stand up, and start swinging my arms around, and yelling their names, telling them to WAIT! I looked ridiculous carrying this huge, sweaty toddler on my hip, in a wet deformed bathing suit that is all "bunched up" in places it just shouldn't be, walking (no running at the pool!) as fast as I could to the diving boards!
Well, they did not hear me (all of Hamilton Pool did, though!), and I see Max do a perfect flip off the diving board! Then I see Luke confidently climb up the ladder, walk all the way to the edge of the board, turn around, and walk directly off the diving board.
I just made it over to them when he was walking off the board with huge crocodile tears coming down. "I want to do it!", he says over and over.
On a side note, sweet Sam is reaching his arms out to Luke wanting to hug him because he was crying so hard, all of the pool is noticing the "crazy mom" finally made it over to her kids, and Max is oblivious to the whole situation, just doing flip after flip off the diving board .
"Then DO IT!" I confidently say with a smile on my face. "Do it, and I will be right here to cheer you on!"
So he did! By his third time he was doing perfect cannon balls - something Max couldn't master until this year....
"Did you see that cannon ball, Max?" says Luke.
"Yeah..........great, Luke......now try to do a flip like me!"
Bless his heart he was even willing to try to do that, too.

Jump for Jesus!

Max and Luke had a GREAT week at The Vineyards Community Church VBS this past week with their cousins! Today we went to the church and the kids sang their favorite song of the week "Jump for Jesus!"

Watch this video of the boys singing!

I'm a big boy now!

Sam feels like such a big boy at Souper Salad, where he can feed himself one of his favorite meals...........ICE CREAM! We had such a fun time watching him today as we enjoyed our weekly Sunday lunch at our favorite restaurant!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!

11 years of marriage.....
Happy Anniversary to Rich and I!
11 years ago today I became Mrs. Webb.......the happiest day of my life! We got married in Mahtomedia, MN at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at 4:00 in the afternoon. It was a HOT but BEAUTIFUL Minnesota day! I remember being SO excited to see Rich! I had my sister, Lynn, as my matron of honor. For bridesmaids, I had my 2 sister-in-laws, Jenni and Lynnette, my best friend from high school, Anh, and my best friend from college, Jill. My cousin, Megan, was my junior bridesmaid! Rich had his dad as honorary best man. For groomsmen, he had his 3 brother-in-laws, Bryce, Mark, and Adam, his best friend from high school, Rich, and his best friend from college, Brad.
I'll never forget walking down the long hallway with my dad to get to the sanctuary...I was very nervous gripping my dad's hand. Then we could hear my dear friend and voice teacher, Cindy, singing in the sanctuary during the prelude music. My dad said, "Now that's a comforting and familiar voice", and he was so right! That's all I needed to hear to calm down and get ready to walk down the aisle! On a side note, Cindy is now in Heaven singing with angels!!!
I watched all my attendants walk down the aisle, and before each one walked down, they looked at me and gave me a sweet smile. Then the doors opened and......WOW - it was really happening! There he was! My Richie!! I was laughing and crying at the same time and could hardly catch my breath - I did not take my eyes off of him! Thank goodness it was a short aisle...........what a long day not talking to him or seeing him!!!!!
It was a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and Rich and I enjoy watching it every year to be reminded. Cindy sang: "Bist du bei Mir", "Alleluia", "Love Changes Everything", "Ave Maria", and "The Lord's Prayer". Pastor Mark Wickstrom gave the most unique homily, where he did a poem all about Rich and I and to make Christ the center of our marriage - it was so clever and everyone loved it! We had I Corinthians 13:1-7 and Colossians 3:12-17 read during the ceremony by my cousin, Beverly, and friend from college, Julie.
We had an AWESOME reception at the Radisson Inn in downtown St. Paul. We had a sit down dinner and then the best live band "Brian Kinney and the Flames" perform, and we danced the night away! It was a BLAST! We danced to our song, "'Til I Loved You" by Restless Heart. I even got up and sang back up to "Mustang Sally" with the band! The air conditioning went out at the reception, but we didn't care! We were having too much fun!
It was the wedding I always dreamed of - and I married the man I always dreamed of, too. An absolutely perfect day! All our friends and family still talk about what a beautiful wedding and reception it was :)
The next day we had a beautiful open house at my parents where we opened all our gifts and celebrated some more with everyone! Then we were off to JAMAICA for a 7 day honeymoon at the all inclusive Sandals resort!!!! YA MON!
We have had such a wonderful time being married........we've learned so much from each other and really grown a lot. We have so much fun together. Rich is my best friend, and he makes me feel like a princess. I am so loved by him and that makes me very happy. So much has happened in 11 years! We have 3 beautiful boys, and are blessed with loving family and friends. I'm always amazed at how it can get any better and it does each year!
Rich made me a blog for our anniversary (check it out at http://www.our11th.blogspot.com/) starting 5 days before our anniversary - and each day he adds something new to it - what a CREATIVE and CLEVER guy, huh?!
To celebrate, we are going to see a comedian at our church, then we are going out to dinner, and then we are bringing some dessert home and watching our wedding video :)
Annie loves Richie!!!!!

Reminiscing...........

We had so much fun on our anniversary reminiscing about our special day! I got out my wedding dress to show the boys....

My favorite part of my dress was my veil!
Here it is.....do you think it will fit?

IT STILL FITS!!!!
Still madly in love after 11 years :)
We had such a fun date night! We went to 98 south for an appetizer, then to the HILARIOUS comedy show of Tim Hawkins (check him out at http://www.timhawkins.net/ and click on video/audio, and then scroll down to the bottom for some of his funny stuff!) at our church, then to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner! We took some yummy dessert home and watched our wedding video :)
FUN NIGHT!!!!
