Laurie and I
The 4 fabulous ladies!

Simone did so awesome at Karaoke!
We had so much fun dancing to 80s music!
Not sure what kind of dance moves those are....

OK...now the birthday festivities are officially over (or are they??????)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LYNN CORNWELL!!!

This is Lynn and her husband, Todd
Today is my friend, Lynn Cornwell's birthday!!!
Lynn and I have been friends for over 5 years. We met at the gym when I was pregnant with Luke, and was running on the treadmill..........this sweet girl came over to me while I was running and said, "You are my inspiration!"( she was newly pregnant with her 2nd boy as well). I looked like a fool at 8 months pregnant trying to run, but hey, she was inspired! And our friendship started right there!
We have been exercising together ever since.
We quickly realized that we had A LOT more in common than just a love of exercising! We have boys the same age, who are now the best of friends. We are both Christians, and that is an unbelievable bond to have with a friend - I know I can go to her for anything and she will give me awesome biblical advice. We both were in southern sororities and can share fun stories about that! We both have awesome hubbies that like each other :), and we have birthdays 2 days apart!!! I could go on and on! Lynn has such a sweet presence about her and is probably the nicest person I know.
We have grown a lot together - anyone that is near us at the gym while we are exercising sure gets an "ear full"! That is our time to GAB!!!
I'm so glad God brought us together - Happy Birthday, Lynn!

WOW! What a WEEKEND!!!!

I had a FABULOUS birthday weekend!!!! We first started the weekend with a play date with Max's friend, Micheal, whom he met at a Vacation Bible School this summer. We met at McDonald's, and had such a nice visit with him and his mom, Carol :)
This is Max and Micheal enjoying the video games
We then headed over to Aunt Lynn's for a CELEBRATION!! She had the house all decorated for me and had a DELICIOUS meal of Mostaccioli, yummy salad and delicious bread :)
The gang's all here!!!!
Such good food!!!
I then got the BEST BIRTHDAY CAKE EVER............a huge chocolate chip cookie from Paradise Bakery - I've asked for it for 3 years, and finally someone listened this year!! YUMMY!

I received some WONDERFUL presents! Including a WEBKINZ dog from Max, Luke and Sam :) - I named her "September". It's fun now having my own account on Webkinz that the boys can "help" me out on!

I collect "Willow Tree Angels" and Lynn got me the "Sisters by Heart" Angels
it was exactly what I wanted!!!!!
Julia got me very yummy smelling hand soap from Bath N Body Works, and made a card where I can change the girls clothes every day with interchangeable stickers! So neat!

We then headed outside and were "entertained" by the kiddos playing basketball and then presented with a dance by Julia, Megan (Julia's friend) and Max - it was quite entertaining!

Their cool dance
Lynn and I are solving all the problems of the world, I'm sure....
IF THAT ALL WASN'T ENOUGH.....
Lynn SURPRISED ME with their babysitter who came over and watched all the kids while Rich, Bryce, Lynn and I went to Uncle Bear's Bar and Grill for some fun KARAOKE!!!!
And if THAT wasn't enough.........my friend Laurie came to SURPRISE ME, too!!!!

WELL, I HAD TO SING KARAOKE............RIGHT? It was SO much fun! I sang "You Gotta Be" by Desiree - can't say I would've made it on American Idol..........

There were some "die hard" Karaokers there, and I was invading their night....they were serious singers - it was fun listening to all of them!
My #1 fan!
Thank you so much, my dear sister for a FABULOUS night! You took the time and effort to make my birthday extra special, and made me feel like a queen - I love you!!!!!

Max lost a tooth!!!!

We woke up Sunday morning to Max all excited about his EXTREMELY loose tooth! It was literally HANGING - he wanted NO help and got it out on his own! This is only his 2nd tooth that he's lost - all his friends lost majority of their teeth in 1st grade ("touchy topic" for him) - this one is front and center and looks ADORABLE :)

Here it is all wiggly.....
Working on it......
GOT IT!!!!
Of course had to then take Sam's picture....
.....and somebody else couldn't be left out.......

Rich's birthday gift to me.....

Papa and Grandma Joan took the boys from Sunday morning until Monday afternoon while Rich and I went to the Millenium Resort in Scottsdale!!! We had a relaxing afternoon just laying out at the pool, then we got dressed up and had a FABULOUS dinner at the Lakeside Restaurant right there at the hotel.........such a fun get away for the two of us!

He got me a silly card :)
And a "Birthday Girl" Willow Tree Angel!
Look at my yummy pork tenderloin....
And Richie's yummy Sea Bass.....
we ended up switching meals - BOTH delicious!
Look at the FREE dessert I got for my birthday!

Yes, Rich helped me.....
What a fun get away!!

OK......now it is September 1.........the official birth day - the day I was born - and yes, the celebrations are continuing!
Here I am at Z'Tejas enjoying my Chambord Margarita before we had to go get the boys...

And another birthday cake...........
Then we went and got the boys at Joan and Richard's and they had a (believe it or not) BIRTHDAY CAKE for me with presents and cards...it was wonderful!!!!!
Sam loves singing "Happy Birthday"
The boys had a FABULOUS time with Papa and Grandma - they hit golf balls at the driving range, went to the new community pool, went to Peter Piper Pizza, went to McDonald's for breakfast, then to Target, and had a party for me when we returned...........no wonder Papa and Grandma were a little cross eyed when we arrived (ha ha, just kidding!) - thank you Joan and Richard for having the boys and spoiling them :)
THEN I had chorus rehearsal that evening - so after rehearsal some of my friends and I headed down to "My Florist" (a trendy bar) and enjoyed a birthday toast.
OK.........birthday celebration is over...............or is it????????? tune in next weekend!!!!
