Spendin' the night....spendin' the night....

So, my sister and I have made up a song called "Spendin' the Night" because every time we are together with the kids, the first thing they ask is, "Can we spend the night?"
Well.....they got their major sleepover this past weekend! Lynn and Bryce went on a much needed vacation with their good friends to Vegas, and we had the ultimate sleepover with the Bragelmans....pretty much what my boys consider Heaven!

Fabulous Field Trip!

Wonderful Wednesdays...

I have LOVED my weekly Beth Moore bible study! I have met with these lovely ladies for the past 9 weeks, and it has been so wonderful to share and grow with them!

Max's Mission to Mars!!!

This field trip was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Max's 5th grade class got to go to the Challenger Space Center in Peoria today. What a wonderful experience!!!

Max's class got to go on a "Voyage to Mars". The time frame of this mission is sometime in the not-too-distant future, when humans have established a permanent base on Mars. The "crew members" served as the first crew on Mars, and the relief crew en route to the planet. While on the Martian surface, the team collected and analyzed a great number of planetary samples and data. The "crew" gained an appreciation for the "luxuries" of planet Earth such as air, water and food as compared to a barren planet such as Mars.

Max was chosen to be the "communicator"

And now they are voyaging back to Earth!

Christmas in April Recital!

Luke, Max, Cousins Kirsten and Annika have been working really hard at their weekly piano and guitar lessons. We meet every Monday for "Musical Mondays" with Grandma Joan for piano and Uncle Adam for guitar. They were able to show off all their hard work at the recital we had at Papa and Grandma's! So proud of my little musicians...

I have to explain these last two!!! Every time the cousins get together, they make up episodes of a show they created called "Spy Island" and perform these "plays" for us. They have a theme song that they have choreography to it and everything! Well....Uncle Adam, Annika and Max actually put notes to the song, and they did the WORLD PREMIER performance of "SPY ISLAND". Priceless!

1st Family Camping Trip!

We did it! Our idea of "roughing it" is sleeping in a motel. We decided to GO FOR IT with the help of our fellow "boy scout" friends from church! Thanks to the Bragelman's for loaning us all our gear!!! It was an AWESOME experience, and you just may see us do it again sometime soon!

40 and FABULOUS!!!

My sweet sister in law and dear friend, Lynnette, turned the big 4-0! We had a wonderful celebration at Joan and Richard's! We showered her with lots of LOVE. She is a beautiful, special, sweet, lovely, dear woman of God. I'm so glad we live near each other so we can have fun celebrations like this!
